At Saint Joseph Hospital, geriatricians (physicians board-certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics) are focused on helping older adults address conditions associated with aging, including Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias, orteoarthritis, osteoporosis, cancer and other common problems in the elderly. Geriatricians take into consideration the needs of older adult patients as well as their families in providing treatment and follow-up care.
Whenever clinically possible, the Geriatric Services team offers minimally invasive procedures that allow older adults to recover faster and with less pain. At all times, staff is available to provide information to patients and families to assist in clinical decision-making.

Physicians, nurses, social workers and other health professionals work together to meet the care needs of older adult patients at Saint Joseph Hospital. The team works closely together to help older adults maintain their health, independence and active lifestyles.
- Primary Care Services - Provided by board-certified physicians who specialize in the care of older adults.
- Rehabilitation Services - Comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services are offered in a patient-friendly environment. Visit Rehabilitation Services for more information. - Alzheimer's Disease Evaluation and Care - Saint Joseph Hospital evaluates and treats individuals with Alzheimer's disease and also conducts research into the causes, treatment and prevention of the disease and related dementias.
