Respiratory Disorders
Respiratory disorders, or lung diseases, are disorders such as asthma, pneumonia, tuberculosis, lung cancer, and others.
According to the American Lung Association, almost 400,000 people die from lung disease each year. Lung disease is the third leading cause of death in the US. Lung disease and other breathing problems are leading causes of death in infants.
Today, more than 35 million Americans are living with chronic lung disease.
Lung disease can affect people of all ages, both genders, and all incomes, but affects a disproportionate share of minority populations.
