Comfort, security and hospitality in a home-like environment
Founded by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth to care for the elderly, Nazarethville has served the community since 1974. Nazarethville offers 24-hour nursing care, balanced nutritional meals, social events, entertainment and spiritual support - all in a wholesome, home-like environment. The staff is proud to extend the Sisters' mission of "family care" to all residents to help them maintain an optimal quality of life. Nazarethville became part of the new ministry formed by the merger of Provena Health and Resurrection Health Care in January, 2012.
Nursing care and physical therapy
Nazarethville offers two levels of 24-hour nursing care: sheltered care and intermediate care. We work with each resident and his or her family to develop an individualized care program to provide the services each person needs. Residents also enjoy private rooms.
- Sheltered care is available for residents who need limited nursing care and/or who need assistance with dietary and housekeeping needs.
- Intermediate care is provided for residents who need 24-hour nursing care and assistance with bathing, dressing and other activities of daily living. Nazarethville also cares for residents with dementia.
In addition to nursing care, Nazarethville residents also can receive physical therapy. Individualized programs are prepared in consultation with each resident's physician.
Health and personal care services
Nazarethville will coordinate health services such as X-rays and lab work on-site through trained technicians. The Medical Director can serve as a resident's physician, or a family's chosen personal physician is also welcome, upon credentialing. In addition, Nazarethville offers various on-site medical services such as psychological, optometric and dental care for residents. Wheelchairs, walkers and other medical equipment items are also available. The beauty shop is available for all residents and the visiting beautician provides numerous services, from haircuts to permanents.
Dietary and dining services
The inviting charm of our dining room makes every meal an event. General and special diets are prepared in consultation with the physician and the registered dietitian. Families and friends are welcome to join residents anytime for meals and can make reservations at the reception desk. Holiday meals are especially festive, with delicious meals and seasonal decorations.
Activities
A variety of programs and entertainment options are offered to Nazarethville residents, including games, arts and crafts and exercise programs. These programs are designed to keep residents active in both mind and body.
Spiritual Services
Daily Mass is offered in our Chapel. Nazarethville's in-house chaplain celebrates liturgies and is available for residents and their families in need of comforting, counseling and the sacraments.
