A Nursing Home with a History of Caring
Founded by Father John Dussman in 1961, Maryhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center serves Glenview and surrounding communities. Whether someone is admitted for short-term rehabilitation or long-term care, an individually tailored program of nursing care is developed for each resident.
Maryhaven is participating with the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Chicago in a research study to aid residents with late stage dementia. Meet the Administrator
Sara Szumski is the new Administrator of Maryhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Ms. Szumski has many years of health care experience, particularly in skilled and intermediate care. Most recently, she served as the Administrator for Margaret Manor North and Sacred Heart Home, both in Chicago. Prior to that, Ms. Szumski was the Administrator of the Lemont Center in Lemont, Illinois. She has a Master of Arts degree in Human Relations from Governors State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from Eastern Illinois University.
Ms. Szumski is very active in her community and has held the positions of Board member, Treasurer and President of the local Council for the Girl Scouts of America.
