Fitness and Weight Management

Zumba Fitness Program

Zumba class is taught by a certified Zumba Instructor.
Comfortable clothing should be worn.

Classes will be held at the Nazareth Family Center Gymnasium.

Tuesdays and Thursdays from January 28th – March 6th

$5 drop in rate or 12 session pkg. for $50. Participants must register and bring payment to the Community Education office in the Nazareth Family Center, Room 140 by Friday, January 24th. Office is open Mon-Fri 8 am- 4:30 pm

Low-Impact Aerobics

This program includes low-impact aerobics, mild stretching, and bending exercises led by a certified aerobics instructor. Participants can modify the routines depending on their skill level. This is a free program.

It’s Your 3rd Trimester—Preparation for the Childbirth Experience

This four-hour class is designed to prepare expectant families for the childbirth experience, including cesarean delivery and complications that can occur during and after pregnancy. Information on blood clots--called deep vein thrombosis (DVT)--will be shared with participants. The class is taught by an experienced childbirth instructor and also features a tour of The Family Birthplace.

Registration and $50 payment are required prior to the first day of class. Families and friends are welcome and refreshments are provided. The fee for the class is free for those who will deliver at Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center and $50 for those delivering elsewhere. Free parking is available in the visitor parking lot across the street from the hospital. We encourage group participation in this informal, fun class.

An Advance Directive is a document which communicates your health care treatment preferences in case a situation develops in which you are physically or mentally unable to communicate. If you would like trained, knowledgeable health care professionals to host a class on a specific health topic for members of your community organization or group, look no further. Health educators can speak about a wide variety of topics, ranging from diabetes and asthma to exercise and nutrition.
