Residents care for patients from the areas of Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology and Internal Medicine
Residents are assigned patients who they follow throughout their three-year program at one of the hospital's community clinics, ensuring a continuity of care
Residents receive experience and knowledge in a variety of specialties and sub-specialties to become better practitioners, including General Surgery, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, Anesthesiology, Endoscopy and Gynecologic Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Transplantation Surgery, Research and General Surgery and Peripheral Vascular Surgery

Residents gain hands-on experience while caring for patients in the hospital and clinic setting as well as in private physician offices throughout the Chicagoland area
Rotations are available in the areas of General Medicine, Coronary Care, Intensive Care, Ambulatory Medicine, Critical Care, Geriatric Medicine, Palliative Care/End-of-Life Medicine
Resident training also is supplemented by rotations in Geriatrics, Emergency Medicine and medical and surgical experiences

First-year residents receive a diverse clinical experience in several specialty areas and prepares them for additional graduate training
Residents conduct rotations in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and Ambulatory Medicine as well as elective rotations in areas such as Radiology, Anesthesiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics and various surgical and medical subspecialties.
