Alcoholics Anonymous

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. Family, friends and anyone interested are welcome to attend the meetings. Free. Health Management Classroom, First floor, Entrance C

Nicotine Anonymous Meetings

Nicotine Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women helping each other to live free of nicotine. There are no dues or fees. The only requirement for membership is the desire to be free of nicotine. The meetings will be every Monday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Health Management classroom which is located on the 1st floor of the hospital near entrance C.


Alzheimer's


Alzheimer's Support Group for Caregivers and Loved Ones

Second Monday of every month from 2-4 p.m. in the Health Management Classroom, First Floor, Entrance C. Free.

Cancer


Butterfly Support Group

An educational support group led by a child psychologist and an oncology nurse for school age children dealing with cancer in the family. Registration required. Free.

Group meets the first Wednesday of the month at 4 p.m. in the Cancer Conference Room, ground floor, Entrance C.

Cancer Support Group - I Can Cope

Educational and support program for adults facing cancer - either personally, or as a friend or family caregiver. No RSVP required. Meets from 6-8 p.m. in the Cancer Conference Room. Entrance C. Free.
Breast Cancer: meets third Thursday of every month
Any Cancer: meets last Thursday of every month

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Support Group

The LLS support group is for those suffering from blood and lymph nodes cancers.

Meets the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Cancer Conference Room, ground floor, Entrance C.

Teen Cancer Support Group

Educational support group led by a child psychologist and an oncology nurse for teens ages 14 to 18 whose parent or adult caretaker is living with a cancer diagnosis. Registration required. Free.

Us Too! Prostate Cancer Support Group

The Us Too! Support Group is for men who are currently battling or have recovered from Prostate Cancer.

Meets the second Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the Cancer Conference Room, ground floor, Entrance C.

WomenHeart Support Group

A peer-led support group from the National Coalition for women with heart disease. Health Management Classroom, Resurrection Medical Center. FREE.
Meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.


Parkinson's Disease


Parkinson's Disease Support Group

A support group for people with Parkinson's Disease, their family and friends as a way to offer social and emotional support to each other while providing information on the management of the disease.

Meets every third Wednesday of the month from 5-7 p.m. at Resurrection Medical Center in the Rehabilitation Center of Chicago (Day Rehab), first floor, Entrance C. Free.

Rehab Alumni Club


Educational information, support and social events for former Rehab patients, their families and any interested community member. The group meets at 6-8 p.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at RMC, 5th floor, Rehab Unit.

Afterglow Stroke Support Group

This support group is for stroke survivors and their family/friends.

Meets the second Wednesday of the month from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Rehabilitation Center of Chicago (Day Rehab), first floor, Entrance C. Free.
