2013 Presence Saint Joseph Hospital Giddy Up and Hoe Down

More than 200 guests wore their country-western best and enjoyed great food, live country music and auction bidding at Joe's Bar on May 30, 2013. The event raised more than $75,000 for the health care needs of the underserved at Presence Saint Joseph Hospital in Lincoln Park, especially patients at Labouré Clinic and the Family Birthplace.

The emcee for the night was Corey McPherrin, co- anchor of Fox 32's Good Day Chicago. Live entertainment was provided by Saddlebrook, a country-western band from Milwaukee. Special guests included CBS2's Lead Sports Anchor Ryan Baker and TV's "Chicago Fire" actor Mike Starr, who has appeared in films including Goodfellas, Jersey Girl and Dumb & Dumber.

Thanks to our lead sponsors for the event: Bear Construction, Cross Realms, EPIC and Lincoln Park 2550.

The evening was made possible through the hard work of Presence Saint Joseph Hospital volunteers under the leadership of Dougal Jeppe, Donnie Kruse and Kate Krause Prange. Other members of the committee included Ken Bauwens, Anthony Bellon, Maria Chicchelly, Betsy Grenzebach, Rosemary Kaminski, Linda Kapsa, Jeff Kilburg, Christine Mendralla, Ted Newton, Paul O’Reilly, Nick Peterson and Frank Schneider.
