The Breast Center at Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center brings together a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for any breast problem. Primary care physicians, radiologists, pathologists, general surgeons, oncologists, radiation oncologists and plastic surgeons all work in collaboration to ensure that every patient receives the care she needs.

When a suspicious area is found on a mammogram or when a breast lump is detected by a patient or a physician, further testing is done as soon as possible to spare the patient any further anxiety. With information gathered from advanced diagnostics, such as our state-of-the-art ultrasound unit, our doctors determine the extent of the disease, develop an individualized treatment plan and monitor the effectiveness of continuing care. When a biopsy or other intervention is necessary, minimally invasive techniques provide us detailed information with the least amount of discomfort and inconvenience for the patient.

At Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center's Breast Center, we treat the whole person-not just the disease. Our nurses help patients become knowledgeable about their condition and counsel them on emotional and psychosocial issues. Treatment is focused on getting answers to patients as quickly as possible with minimal pain and disruption to their lives. The Breast Center follows guidelines of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, the American Cancer Society and the American College of Surgeons.
