Arthritis Coping and Education
Arthritis Coping and Education is a free self-help group for people living with arthritis and is endorsed by the Arthritis Foundation. The group offers opportunities to share common problems and learn new ways to cope. Speakers have presented various related topics such as the types of arthritis, dealing with depression and the importance of good nutrition. Meetings also provide low-impact exercise sessions. Meetings are held the fourth Thursday of each month from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Centennial Conference Center B on the seventh floor of the hospital. No registration is required. If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with cancer, we have a telephone support network of current patients, cancer survivors and our own caring, professional staff. They will answer your questions and offer an empathetic ear when you call. Fear and anxiety often accompany a diagnosis of cancer; let us help by taking your call. All calls are completely confidential.

Diabetes Support Group
Diabetes Support Group is primarily for middle-aged and senior persons with Type 2 diabetes. This interactive support group, facilitated by a certified diabetes educator, provides participants with information about how to more effectively control blood glucose levels. Participants are encouraged to share their feelings and coping strategies. Free sessions are held the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Centennial Conference Room A of the seventh floor of the hospital. No registration is required. Addiction Education Program
In a series of free, monthly seminars, family members who are coping with the addictive behavior of a loved one learn strategies for managing and coping. Participants in the Addiction Education Program meet the third Tuesday of each month in the lower level Cafe Meeting Room (located in the cafeteria seating area) from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. If you have questions, call 773-794-8486.
Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)
Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) is a voluntary, worldwide fellowship of men and women from all walks of life who meet together to attain and maintain sobriety. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. If you have questions, call 773-794-8486.

Families Anonymous is for relatives and friends concerned about the use of drugs, alcohol or related behavioral problems of their children. Families Anonymous meets every Monday in the lower-level Café Meeting room from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There is no fee. If you have questions, call 773-794-8486.
Healthy Aging Program
Members of the free Healthy Aging Program enjoy a range of health-orientated activities and seminar designed to educate and motivate those 55 and older to feel their best. Programs include health and education presentations, low-impact exercise and informal socializing. Programs are held the second Friday of each month in the 7th floor Centennial Conference Center A from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. If you have questions, call 877-737-4636.
Please note the group wil not meet April 10,2009, but, instead, will meet April 8, 2009. Same time, 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. but in a different location; that is, 7th floor Conference Room C.
