Mark C. Bonen, MHS, MAC, CRADC
Mark is the Adolescent Coordinator at Presence Behavioral Health Addiction Services in Palos Heights. He is responsible for the daily operations of the adolescent program and the development of various treatment modalities to assist in the recovery process. In the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Mark provides education on the disease process of addiction and facilitates the process group, where patients explore the changes necessary to recover. Other responsibilities include completion of clinical assessments, financial case management, facilitating the Family Education Program, coordinating volunteers from self-help groups, and acting as liaison to referral sources.
Mark has worked in the addiction recovery field for over thirty years in various levels of both inpatient and outpatient treatment. His professional experiences have included working as an addictions counselor, chemical dependency professional, family and adolescent therapist and program management. He has over twenty years of teaching college in various counselor-training programs.
Mark has received two bachelor's degrees from Centenary College and obtained his masters degree in Health Sciences from Governors State University.
He is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor, Master Addictions Specialist and a member of the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors.
