Computerized Tomography (CT Scan)

CT scans provide information about soft tissues within the body such as the liver, brain and lungs using computer-enhanced X-ray images.

Among the most advanced of all diagnostic tools, MRI is a non-invasive technology utilizing a magnetic scanner, radio waves and computerized graphics to produce highly detailed images of body tissue.

Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves passed through the body to produce an image with great detail.

Cardiac MRI

MRI provides clear, detailed pictures of the heart allowing physicians to examine the size and thickness of the chambers of the heart, and determine the extent of damage caused by a heart attack or progressive heart disease.

Cardiac CT

A cardiac CT scan is a non-invasive heart-imaging test for determining whether fatty or calcium deposits have built up in the coronary arteries. Left untreated, these deposits can cause heart disease.

DEXA Bone Density Scan

To diagnose osteoporosis and determine the risk for fractures, this non-invasive procedure measures density of bones in the spinal column and hip.

Nuclear Imaging

Nuclear medicine is useful for visualizing specific organs within the body by injecting a radiopharmaceutical agent into the bloodstream. Procedures include heart perfusion, bone, liver, lung and gall bladder scans.

Interventional Imaging

Resurrection Health Care offers a wide range of procedures using interventional imaging. These procedures are minimally invasive, targeted treatments performed with the use of real-time imaging such as vascular CT, MRI or ultrasound. Physicians guide tiny instruments, such as catheters, through the blood vessels or other pathways to treat problems without major surgery. Procedures are generally easier for the patient because they involve no large incisions, less risk, less pain and shorter recovery times.

Siemens e.cam®

The e.cam nuclear camera produces detailed images that allow radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians to determine how well internal organs and tissue structures are functioning. “Real time” images are ideal for the early detection and staging of cancer, heart disease and other hard-to-diagnose disorders.

Electrophysiology Services

For irregular heartbeats, state-of-the-art Electrophysiology Labs allow our expert team of heart rhythm specialists to precisely map the heart’s electrical system to determine exactly where the problem originates. When the problem is found, patients can often be treated with a minimally invasive technique.

TomoTherapy® — Image Guided Radiation Therapy

Our TomoTherapy Hi-Art System™ is the most advanced radiotherapy available. In one integrated unit, patients receive a CT scan and painless and precise radiation therapy. TomoTherapy is more accurate, has fewer side effects and offers patients the convenience of ongoing diagnosis and treatment in one comfortable location.

IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy)

Our state-of-the-art linear accelerator with IMRT treats tumors that might have been considered "too risky" or "untreatable" just a few years ago. This technology delivers a radiation dose that perfectly conforms to the three-dimensional (3-D) shape of a malignant tumor or to specific areas within the tumor while sparing normal tissue, allowing for higher doses of radiation to be delivered safely.

Stereotactic Radiosurgery

Stereotactic radiosurgery is a nonsurgical approach that uses a computer to aim highly focused beams of radiation directly at brain tumors and other abnormalities within the head.

Capsule Endoscopy

With capsule endoscopy, thousands of images are painlessly recorded while the patient goes about a normal day. The patient swallows a capsule with a tiny camera that moves naturally through the GI tract to determine the cause of pain or bleeding.
