Visitors are welcome 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; however, we encourage you to visit for short time periods and limit visitors to two at a time. Any visitors after 10 p.m. are restricted to immediate family and must be approved by the patient’s caregiver. These visitors will be required to wear a name badge with the date and room number of the patient they are visiting.
Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Please talk with the caregiver before bringing children to visit. This can be a very traumatic experience for a child.
While visiting, please respect the needs of staff to care for your loved one. We may ask you to leave the room during assessments, treatments and report (when caregivers going off shift meet briefly with the next shift in order to update them with important patient information). This assures that your loved one has the privacy and quality of care s/he deserves and needs.
We may also ask you to go to a waiting room during emergency situations. If this happens, the caregiver may not be able to talk with you at that moment, but will explain everything when the immediate need has passed.
