Excellence in Orthopedic Surgery

Our skilled orthopedic and sports medicine specialists perform more than 1,000 surgeries each year, using the most minimally invasive technology and techniques available for less pain, faster recovery and better outcomes. Surgical specialties include:

  • Arthroscopic surgery: The surgeon makes a tiny incision and uses an arthroscope (pencil-sized instrument) to view, diagnose and treat injuries of the ankles, elbows, knees, shoulders and wrists.
  • Reconstructive surgery: These procedures help relieve pain and restore range of motion after injuries of the hips, pelvis and spine, and can repair torn knee ligaments and cartilage.
  • Total or partial joint replacement: Orthopedic surgeons can remove a diseased joint (entirely or partially) and replace it with an artificial implant to relieve pain caused by severe arthritis of the hips, knees and shoulders.

Our orthopedic surgeons are especially known for shoulder and knee surgery including:

  • ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) knee reconstruction
  • Meniscus surgery
  • Cartilage restoration and preservation knee surgery
  • Rotator cuff surgery
  • SLAP (superior labrum anterior and posterior) shoulder surgery
  • Instability shoulder surgery

Nonsurgical Care for Orthopedic Conditions

Depending on your specific symptoms, injury or condition, you may not need surgery. At the Center for Orthopedic and Specialty Care, our physicians and specialty providers treat a variety of conditions with the latest nonsurgical treatments, including:

  • Injection treatments: We offer several injection therapies, including steroid and hyaluronic acid options, to relieve pain in patients with osteoarthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome and similar conditions.
  • Interventional pain procedures: These minimally invasive spine procedures, such as epidural or facet joint injections, relieve and manage pain from arthritis, nerve root compression or injury.
  • Musculoskeletal ultrasound: This imaging technology uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of internal structures in the body. Your physician may use this imaging help diagnose a variety of joint, tendon and nerve conditions. It is also helpful in accurately targeting injections and monitoring rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Platelet-rich plasma treatment (PRP): Your physician injects your own blood into a damaged joint or tendon to speed healing and treat acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries.
  • Ultrasound-guided arthrocentesis: We can use ultrasound to precisely pinpoint locations within joints for arthrocentesis, a procedure that uses a syringe to draw fluid from the knee, elbow, shoulder and other joints.
