Online Shift Bidding

Resurrection Health Care's revolutionary new online self-scheduling system, RES-Bid™, gives you the freedom to self-schedule and the opportunity to choose your pay. This unique concept allows you to choose when you work, where you work and your hourly rate by bidding on shifts that are convenient for you. RES-Bid™ can help you take control of your schedule by:

  • Working when it is convenient for you
  • Determining your hours
  • Responding to fewer calls to work on your days off
  • Making more money

How It Works

In a typical shift-bidding setup, qualified employees are able to review available shifts using RES-Bid™ on the Resurrection Health Care website and bid on their hourly rate. Employees may view empty shifts of interest and make a bid on any unfilled shift if they have the required credentials. The lowest qualified bidder "wins" the shift and is notified via email when the auction closes, usually two to 10 days before the shift begins.

Interested individuals must apply for employment with Resurrection Health Care and identify one of the following sites as a home base:

  • Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center
  • Resurrection Medical Center
  • Saint Joseph Hospital
  • Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center
  • West Suburban Medical Center
  • Senior Services
  • Home Health Services

You can find an opening and apply online.

For assistance applying online, please e-mail Janell DiVittorio.

RES-Bid™ offers the following features:

  • Self-schedule - Registry staff may choose their committed shifts for the month and full-time staff may choose overtime shifts they prefer.

  • Reverse Auction - After the self-schedule process, the remaining shifts become available for auction. Shifts are posted with a maximum hourly rate. The lowest bidder wins the shift when the auction closes.

  • Instant Win - Users can instantly win a shift at a predetermined rate. When this option is selected, the bidder automatically wins the shift and the auction closes. This is useful for people who prefer not to wait for an auction to close so they can begin planning their time.
