We have successfully merged two established residency programs in a diverse neighborhood on Chicago’s near northwest side. Our newly reconfigured 12-12-12 community-based, university-affiliated program is the largest unopposed FM residency in the city. Present faculty are committed and collegial, with diverse interests but common goals. We are seeking a full-time, energetic board-certified family physician to serve as Associate Director for Academic Affairs. Responsible for coordinating teaching and learning activities within the residency; helping to implement our new and innovative curriculum; and championing the introduction of a new EMR. Emergency Medicine Medical Director - Chicago
Resurrection Medical Center is seeking an experienced Administrative Emergency Medicine Medical Director. Must be trained and boarded in Emergency Medicine.
Resurrection Medical Center is a Comprehensive - Level II Emergency Department servicing the Northwest Side of Chicago, surrounding suburbs and O’Hare International Airport. The location provides for a great patient base and a variety of interesting pathology. Resurrection Medical Center has its own Emergency Medicine Residency Program in addition to other specialty residents who rotate to the Emergency Department.
The administrative position will provide a percentage of direct patient care in addition to overall management of patient care activities including the hiring, guidance and evaluation of the performance of other physicians in the Department. The position includes the provision for overall direction of support personnel necessary to render efficient and quality emergency services at Resurrection Medical Center. The Emergency Medicine Medical Director will participate in the residency program in addition to the development of educational programs for support personnel. Administrative duties would include development and maintenance of an operating expenditure budget, and strategic plans for the provision of emergency services.
Requirements: Must be trained and board certified in Emergency Medicine and hold an unchallenged valid medical license in Illinois. Candidates must possess exceptional communication, leadership and organizational skills. Recent experience as an administrative director of an emergency department is a plus.

Moonlighting opportunity for in-house trauma coverage at Saint Francis Hospital, Resurrection Health Care, in Evanston Illinois.
The candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be board eligible/certified in general surgery and ATLS certified. Opportunity open to physicians with additional specialties in vascular, colorectal, critical care, and advanced laparoscopic surgery.
Physicians will evaluate, diagnose, admit and manage trauma patients of all ages including resuscitation, surgical intervention and coordination of operative procedures.

Vascular Neurology
Resurrection Medical Center -
Is seeking two Vascular Neurologists to compliment our certified acute stroke program. Resurrection Health Care was just recently awarded advanced-disease specific certification from The Joint Commission for all seven of their hospitals as Primary Stroke Centers. Resurrection Medical Center has the highest number of acute ischemic and hemorrhagic and TIA inpatient discharges in the City of Chicago and has proven outcomes in the assessment and treatment of neurovascular disease. The positions are full time employed by Resurrection Health Care with malpractice coverage and full benefit package.
Responsibilities include acute assessment and inpatient care of stroke, TIA and other vascular medical conditions at Resurrection Medical Center and for patients transferred to Resurrection Medical Center from the Resurrection Health Care System for neurointerventional treatments. An endovascular suite opened in winter, 2008, including biplane angiography technology, and 24/7 physician coverage to support full comprehensive stroke rescue and elective neurointerventional procedure capability. Outpatient, follow-up clinic is an option.
The full compliment of neuroscience physicians on staff throughout Resurrection Health Care includes an endovascular fellowship trained neurologist, neurosurgeons and radiologists. There are close case interactions with neurosurgeons, other neurologists and emergency medicine physicians. Acute stroke treatments currently available include IV thrombolysis, IA-tPA and clot retrieval procedures. Transfer protocols are established for acute patients within and external to the RHC system. There is an opportunity for clinical research study participation. Designated stroke units are located at RMC in both critical care and general medical-surgical levels of care. Both nursing and physicians have undergone an extensive neuro focused educational training course, up to 12 modules completed per clinician. Telemedicine is used in all critical care beds, allowing for eICU monitoring on a 24/7 basis.
Candidates must be board certified in Neurology with a formal fellowship in Vascular Neurology.
