Dr. Surath earned his medical degree from the Guntur Medical College, Guntur, India. He completed his internship at the Government General Hospital in Guntur, India and his residency in internal medicine at Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago. He has been conducting clinical research and teaching in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Saint Joseph Hospital for more than 30 years. Dr. Surath is board certified in internal medicine. He is on the Medical Staffs of Saint Joseph Hospital, Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center and Resurrection Medical Center. Dr. Surath’s clinical interests are hypertension, dementia, and heart disease.
Dr. Surath’s office participates in Medicare and Medicaid, as well as most major HMO, PPO and conventional insurance plans. He is fluent in English and Telugu.
