Dr. Friedman earned his medical degree from Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School. He completed his internship in internal medicine at University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center and his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital.

Dr. Friedman is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, and he is on the Medical Staff of Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago. He is the chairman of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the medical director of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Saint Joseph Hospital. Dr. Friedman is a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and a member of the American Medical Association. His special clinical interests are amputee care, geriatric, orthopedic and stroke rehabilitation.

Dr. Friedman's office participates in Medicare and Medicaid, as well as most major HMO, PPO and conventional insurance plans.
