Dr. Fischer earned her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, D.C. She completed a residency in family practice medicine at John H. Stroger, Jr., Hospital of Cook County, Chicago. She is board certified in family medicine, geriatric medicine and hospice and palliative medicine. She is on the Medical Staff of Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston along with other community hospitals in the neighborhood. Dr. Fischer's clinical interests are geriatrics, hospice and palliative care. She was recognized as one of the nation's top doctors in the US News Media Group's 2011 Top Doctors listing. Dr. Fischer is fluent in English and basic medical Spanish. Her office participates in Medicare and Medicaid, as well as most major HMO, PPO and conventional insurance plans.
