Thank you for your interest in the training programs in the Department of Medicine at Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago. Saint Joseph Hospital has a long tradition of outstanding patient care as evidenced by our receipt of Health Grades Awards for clinical excellence in multiple areas such as Critical Care, Cardiac Care, Gastrointestinal Procedures, Stroke Care, and Pulmonary Care as well as several others.
One of the missions of Resurrection Health Care, the sponsor of Saint Joseph Hospital, is to foster the continuation of the culture of superior clinical care through the educational programs. Education has particular emphasis in our hospital as evidenced by the extensive resources which are devoted to the training of residents and medical students.
The Program Directors and faculty have created a strong curriculum which fosters the growth and development of young physicians. The close personal working relationship between residents and faculty creates a learning environment which is stimulating and supportive. In addition, the hospital administration is committed to providing the resources needed to develop and maintain training programs which will prepare residents for the future practice of medicine in the complicated arena of health care.
