Frank William Zappa, DPM
Director of Podiatric Medical Education at Saint Joseph Hospital

Dr. Zappa has been involved in residency training since 1986 when the program was established. He first served as clinical and educational director before assuming the role of program director in 1991. The program has grown from two residents in 1986 to 15 residents today. Dr. Zappa takes great pride in the program’s accomplishments and looks forward to improving the educational and clinical components of the program each year.

Physician Faculty

The teaching faculty involved with our residency program is committed to providing residents with the education and skills necessary to become outstanding podiatric physicians and surgeons. All faculty members are board certified or board-eligible and bring experience from a wide variety of training, fellowship and practice environments. With over 45 physician faculty, residents easily find advisors and research mentors to guide their clinical and didactic experience.
