About the Medical Library
The Medical Library at Saint Francis Hospital provides state-of-the-art, knowledge-based medical information. The Library is committed to building resources that fit into the workflow of our medical professionals. Electronic texts (e-books) are available through various databases such as AccessMedicine, AccessSurgery, or MDConsult are organized in our customized A-Z List called TDnet/SFHosp.
Approximately 3,000 full-text e-journals can also be accessed through TDnet. The Library supports Ovid/Medline and PubMed/Medline for your literature search needs both remotely and in-house.
Access outside the hospital is provide through database called Athens which allows users to register in the hospital then authenticates their access to all the library resources anywhere outside the hospital. Decision-making databases such as UpToDate and OVIDMD enhance your clinical practice and provide Images for those visually dynamic presentations.
Any resources not on-site in the library's print or electronic collections are available through our library document delivery service. The Medical Library at Saint Francis Hospital is continually updating our resources to assist in meeting your core competency needs.
