Thank you for interest in our Osteopathic OB/Gyn program!
The MWU/Resurrection Healthcare Consortium OB/Gyn Residency Program (ERAS #65555) is a four-year AOA approved program designed to provide the graduating resident with a mastery of the basic science, medical management, general surgical expertise, and interpersonal skills of a highly qualified osteopathic obstetrician and gynecologist.
The program follows the Basic Standards of Residency Training in Obstetrics and Gynecology of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOOG). These standards are designed to facilitate the training of osteopathic residents in obstetrics and gynecology, and to prepare them for board certification in obstetrics and gynecologic surgery.
The philosophy of the program is that our specialty is best learned from hands on experience in a variety of environments pertinent to women's health care. We uphold the Osteopathic Pledge of Commitment to provide compassionate, quality care; promote health; and continue life-long learning. We are committed to providing the residents with all of the necessary resources to lead healthy and successful professional lives.
Our program is conducted in several OPTI affiliated institutions that offer a comprehensive education within the diverse patient populations in the Chicago area. Each affiliated training institution has a unique patient base and complement of physician educators. We remain current and on the pulse of innovation while building upon our strong foundation. Our mission is to train superb physicians who are prepared for the clinical, academic, and administrative challenges involved in being an osteopathic obstetrician and gynecologist in the 21st century.
