Maeturah Harmon, DO

Medical School: Edward Via COM - Virginia

About me: I was raised in the DFW metroplex and grew up Irving, TX. I attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas and graduated in 2006 with a B.S. degree in Biochemistry. I received a M.S. degree in Biomedical Sciences from Hampton University, in Hampton, Virginia in 2008. I then attended Osteopathic medical school and obtained my D.O. degree in 2012. I'm honored to be a part of a specialty that has such versatility and am thrilled to begin my career as an OB/GYN.

Why Resurrection: The program offers the residents great support. Very accommodating to our needs, values our suggestions, and is dynamic in the fact that changes are made to suit our needs based on the suggestions that we make. There is a sense of community across the specialties amongst the attendings, residents and staff. The volume affords for education from a practical and academic standpoint. Furthermore, the resources offered are vast and medical education is instrumental in ensuring that access is available. The location is also optimal. Having a program based in Chicago, allows for exposure to diversity in the work environment and on a more personal social level. Resurrection is a good fit overall for learning and maturing professionally and personally.
