Sheena Sweeney, DO
Medical School: Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine
About Me: I was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia. I went to Penn State for my undergrad and graduated with a degree in premedicine. After college, I moved to the D.C. area to do research for a couple years and take some time off before applying to medical school. I moved out to Chicago for med school and ended up sticking around for residency! In my spare time, I love to travel and spend time with my boyfriend, friends, family, and my dog, Jaeger! Most of my traveling was done in undergrad when I spent a semester abroad in Dublin, but I hope to do much, much more once I have the time and most importantly, money. I also love watching TV (probably too much), shopping, and cooking/baking.
Why Res: Although I never rotated at Resurrection as a medical student, having gone to medical school in Chicago I had heard a ton about the program and the residents. The program has an excellent reputation in the area and the residents are known for being some of the happiest around. After my interview day and another get-together and confirming what I had heard, I knew this was the place for me.
