SICU Rotation at Resurrection Medical Center
The EM-2 work directly with the intensivists and ICU nurses in managing the care of all patients in the 13-bed. As the only resident in the SICU, the EM-2 is responsible for resuscitations and has abundant opportunities for procedures. Patients consist largely of post-op cases with many post-CABG patients. There are an average of 7 calls during the rotation.
