Radiology/Orthopedics/Sports Medicine Rotation at Resurrection Medical Center
EM-2 residents spend the morning hours reviewing overnight ER films with a radiologist. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, residents attend the orthopedics clinic. On Monday and Friday afternoons, residents attend the Sports Medicine Clinic.
This rotation will provide the EM resident with lots of experience in managing the many orthopedic injuries seen in the ED as well as proper technique for joint aspiration, steroid injections, and cast placements.
