Emergency Medicine Rotation at Saint Francis Hospital
The Emergency Department at SFH offers the resident a community hospital feel with the addition of an urban population of Rogers Park on the north side of Chicago. SFH is a Level 1 Trauma Center, which allows the resident hands-on training with trauma since there is not a designated trauma team.
This rotation consists of fifteen 12-hour shifts with an average of 4-5 night shifts. As an EM-1 you will rotate through this department for 2 blocks.
