Saint Joseph Hospital provides comprehensive training in inpatient and outpatient care, emphasizing a continuum of care. Our central location in Lincoln Park/Lakeview provides a patient care experience usually available only at universities. Clinical experience is complemented by regular didactic sessions as well as Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and Obstetrics/Gynecology Grand Rounds. Daily teaching rounds are conducted under the supervision of full-time attending physicians in order to provide residents with hands-on bedside experience.

Primary care physicians comprise more than 60 percent of Saint Joseph Hospital's 550-member medical staff. Saint Joseph Hospital also has a full complement of specialists available for consultation. Many of the hospital's faculty members hold academic appointments at Northwestern University Medical School and/or other major Chicago-area universities.
