The Family Caregiver Training & Support program is designed to help families and friends successfully lead their own lives while helping their loved ones. The program provides education on topics related to caregiving and topics to help caregivers learn to cope with the strains brought on by caregiving. The program is offered in a group format and is facilitated by a professional with experience in the field of gerontology. Sessions are offered in 4 segments throughout the year. Participants can choose to attend any number of sessions as desired, but will reap the greatest benefit by completing full segments. Sessions are held the 2nd Tuesday of the month at Presence Cor Mariae Center, located at 3330 Maria Linden Dr., Rockford, and the 4th Tuesday of the month, at Lifescape Adult Day Program, 1330 South Alpine Rd., Rockford.
