Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center Celebrates Arrival of First Newborn Delivered in 2013
Chicago (Jan. 2, 2013) — Entering the world at 6:53 a.m. on Jan. 1, Angeline Olivares was the first baby to be born in 2013 at Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center (PSMEMC).
Her parents are Faviola and Leodardo Olivares of Chicago's Humboldt Park area. Angeline is their fourth child.
Thana Tarsha, M.D., delivered the baby, along with help from the staff at The Family Birthplace. To celebrate the New Year's Day arrival, the nurses presented the new mom, dad and baby with a gift basket filled with such goodies as blankets, clothing, bibs, booties and more.
