John Steiner Appointed Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, for Saint Joseph Hospital
Chicago, Ill. - November 2, 2012 - John Steiner (pictured at right) was recently named vice president, Strategy and Business Development at Presence Saint Joseph Hospital – Chicago (PSJHC). Steiner, 53, joined the hospital in 1994 and most recently led efforts on business development, physician alignment and support of graduate medical education.
“John has played an important role in business planning and contract development for many programs, such as interventional radiology, the Chicago Institute of Advanced Bariatrics, the Level III Perinatal Facility and oncology,” said Roberta Luskin-Hawk, M.D., executive vice president/CEO, PSJHC. “He has also played a critical role in the recruitment of new physicians.”
Previously, Steiner worked at INOVA Health System in Fairfax, Va. as chief operating officer of Health Management Systems. He earned a bachelor of science degree in Health Planning and Administration from Pennsylvania State University in University Park and a master’s degree in Health Systems Management from Rush University in Chicago.
Steiner also serves as an adjunct faculty member, a career advisor and an internship preceptor at Rush University.
